Grandparent's Day Craft Project: Grandchild Garden

Today is Grandparent's Day. Jacq is very lucky to have 3 grandmas and 3 grandpas. She loves them all very much and to show her love and appreciation we made these beautiful flower pots. There are a lot of steps but the end result is well worth it.

What you need:
Cupcake liners
Terra cotta plant pot
Popsicle sticks
Waterpaint
Glue
Glitter
Green paint
Green pipe cleaner
Scissors
Decorative rocks
Pictures of your little one

First, let your little one paint the cupcake liners. I used pastel colored liners and found it was easier to paint the insides because the outside is so coated in wax.

Set aside and let them dry. Next paint the popsicle sticks green.

Now add some glue to the cupcake liners. I did polka dots and squiggly lines. Set aside and let dry.

Let it all dry completely. Next use pipecleaner and wrap it around the popsicle sticks to look like leaves.

Now let your child fill the pot with rocks. You can really fill it with anything. The rocks did make it quite heavy. Next time I think I will use a styrofoam block and fill the rest in with rocks.

After the cupcake liners are dry, cut the pics of your child so they fit in the middle of the liners.

Glue the popsicle sticks to the liners. When they are dry 'plant' them in the pot. I trimmed the liners so they looked more like flowers. I also wrote 'Your love makes me grow everyday" on the pot. Here is the end result.

The grandparents loved it! Happy Grandparents Day to all the nana and papas!

Dancing with daddy

My little one loves to get down with her bad self and shake her little booty. Sometimes she doesn't even need music. When the mood strikes her she just starts to boogie. Here is a perfect example. Last weekend in grandma and grandpa's kitchen. No music, but she did find a partner.
